Why do you want to carry a gun? There are many answers. Perhaps you feel that in these uncertain times it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. Maybe you want to be able to protect your family if the worst should happen. It could be that you feel that the fact that there are armed citizens in our community that it will make criminals stop and rethink their bad intentions. The personal choice to arm your self is yours alone. The N.R.A. instructors at Security And Firearms Education (S.A.F.E.) respect your decision and stand ready to assist you to achieve comfort at arms through professional instruction and hands on training. We are offering in Quincy and the surrounding area a sixteen hour CCW class that will include the NRA’s Basic Protection in the Home certification. This is an intensive 2 day class that will include defensive handgun training, firearms and the law, safety in the operation and storage of firearms, strategies for responding to a violent confrontation and how to choose a handgun for self-defense among other topics. Cost for initial CCW certification is $100.00. Cost for CCW renewal is $50.00.
